This is something I’d like to say: A site you can go to online which will interactively test you until it maps out what you know and don’t know about key concepts in
- Ordinary differential equations
- Partial differential equations
- Linear algebra
- Abstract algebra and category theory
and on and on until it maps out a good understanding of your training level and aptitudes in the core math curriculum for undergraduate and graduate mathematics.
I have noticed that in online MOOC spaces like Coursera, there are a lot of “fun” courses but very very few of the solid core for an applied math degree.
If I had a running public-facing website (not this WordPress), I’d give it a go.
Until then, there’s this. (And I will add to this list and structure it in updates of this post.)
