Associative memory, neuromorphic hardware, and Python

Do you know what associative memory is?  Well, neither do I, but apparently it’s a thing.  It has something to do with Willshaw Networks and neuromorphic hardware, which Andreas Stöckel has written about, and also authored a Python package.  There’s also a way to do it in Nengo.

Intel recently bought a company, Saffron Technologies, that does it, so it’s probably big, whatever it is.
