I finished Netflix’s first installment of Terrace House

Netflix has aired a partial season of Terrace House.  I finished the first block of 19 episodes. According to Wikipedia, there are more episodes that should have aired by now, but they aren’t there.   I hope they post the rest of it soon and think about posting the 8 seasons prior to their co-production.

Terrace House is the TV equivalent of lightly flavored seltzer, but relaxing to watch. An interesting feature is that in Japan the show was aired in real time, so the cast would get feedback from friends and watch the prior episodes themselves as it was going along.  Also it’s cut so all you see is them talking about what they think about each other, and most of what happens to them away from the central cast is not filmed.  For example cast member Arman Bitaraf got hammered the night before the Christmas episode, then had to go on an amusement park date.  They didn’t film him getting hammered.  He threw up in the park 5 times but they didn’t film that. They just filmed him looking subdued as he forced himself through the date.
